9 days/8 nights – Biking, Hiking ,Ruins, Jungle Trails and Coral Reef

This nine day adventure will begin in the Beautiful village of Placencia over the Lobster Fest weekend, June 23-25 which marks the official opening of the Lobster Season.

After two days of relaxing and enjoying the endless array of activities offered in Placencia, we embark on our riding expedition through the hills and valleys of the Hummingbird and Western Highways. The next four days will take us from the scenic vistas of the Hummingbird filled with fragrant citrus orchards and spectacular views of the Maya Mountains to the rolling hills of the Cayo district and then the flats of Belize City. Each night we stay at a Jungle Lodge or resort in the area. We will have an expert naturalist guide as well as an experienced Belizean cyclist, who is a past champion of the grueling Belize Cross Country Cycle Classic to accompany us on our expedition.

After our exhilarating riding adventure, we park our bikes and cool off in the quiet paradise of Caye Caulker. The last two days of our trip are spent on optional activities such as swimming at the famous split , snorkeling, scuba diving the barrier reef or just lounging on the beach .

Educational Expeditions

We understand what goes into putting together a field trip for a group of High School or University students. It takes special expertise to successfully organize trips such as these. We have over ten years experience in this area and can put together itineraries that cover topics such as Terrestrial and Marine Ecology , Protected Areas Management ,and Maya Civilization.

Our trips would include stays in protected areas and reserves , visits to local communities, cultural presentations and presentations by visiting researchers (when available). The activities are designed to keep participants in the field and not locked up in a classroom, so there are visits to Maya sites, hiking on forest trails , canoeing and boat rides included in the itineraries. Depending on the location, groups are accompanied by a Naturalist Guide and a Belizean Teacher/ Instructor.

Contact us with your specific details so we can develop an itinerary that meets your requirements.
